FT08 photocells are designed to detect obstacles in automatic door and gate installations, preventing the door from colliding with them.
They consist of a transmitter-receiver module and a mirror. The module emits an infrared beam which is reflected in the mirror and returned to the module.
If the beam does not return to the module, the contacts of terminals 1 and 2 change state.

FT08 photocells are designed to detect obstacles in automatic door and gate installations, preventing the door from colliding with them.
They consist of a transmitter-receiver module and a mirror. The module emits an infrared beam which is reflected in the mirror and returned to the module.
If the beam does not return to the module, the contacts of terminals 1 and 2 change state.

Designed for residential or industrial garage doors. This type of photocell is not recommended for outdoor use, unless there is some type of protection (cover), as it condenses, can be affected by fog, sun, snow and rain.
For this purpose, instead of this type of photocell, emitter-receiver types such as the FT06, FT07, KLFRX or industrial anti-vandalism IFTIND-DC or IFTIND-09.
