HULK is the new range of motors developed by EMFA-MAP with a high-performance 48Vdc brushless technology, for intensive use and heavy doors. Under a single aesthetic, the firm has developed two different versions for sliding doors up to 1800 & 2500 kg.
The HULK industrial models have been designed to operate industrial doors and for intensive use. They have an M4 steel sprocket, although there is the option of applying an M6 larger sprocket.
HULK motors feature dual starter capacitors for increased thrust during the deceleration phase. It is available in a mechanical or magnetic limit switch version. The integrated control panel is located on top of the operator.
It has a protected display and programming keys, to avoid accidental contacts, and an encoder system with total control, for intelligent management of obstacle detection. Manoeuvring safety is complemented by an automatic braking system using electronic inertia control.
Hulk operators are equipped with Memo Adaptive technology so that sudden changes in temperature do not affect the normal operation of the actuator. They also have a Twinning function for the synchronization of two mirror sliding doors.
The HULK Brushless DC (R)Evolution motors feature a high-duty '6-step' digital motor, which allows up to 500 daily manoeuvres to be managed. The Hi-Speed version provides an opening speed of up to 20 m/min for doors up to 1800 kg. And 13 m/min for the SUPER HULK model.
One of the characteristics of HULK engines is that they offer many advantages in terms of scheduling their maintenance. The display counts the manoeuvres carried out and makes it easier for the user to schedule maintenance deadlines.
They also have an 'Energy-Saving' function, an intelligent system to reduce the consumption of wired safety devices and the motor when it is on stand-by. It also has a backup battery compartment (optional accessory) inside the motor and an input for traditional and 8K2 resistive safety edge.
