The LI11CHI is part of the internal mechanical system of the stem. Its function is to transform the spindle rotation into the linear displacement necessary to extend or pick up the engine arm.

It can be used to replace the original piece when it has wear, slack, thread damage or displacement difficulties, provided that the rest of the internal components are in good condition.
