The Motorline MFE uses a Modulated reflective infrared infrared beam That is directed towards the mirror installed on the opposite side and returns back to the photocell. When a person, vehicle or obstacle interrupts the beam, the photocell commute his relay to send a security signal to the maneuvering box.

Its main advantage is that It only needs power and wiring on one side of the installation. The reflector mirror is a passive element and does not need electrical connection, which facilitates assembly when it is not possible to pass cables across the door.

Installation and adjustment

The photocell must be installed faced directly to the reflector mirror, respecting a maximum nominal separation of 12 meters. To achieve proper operation, both elements must be well aligned and at an approximate height of 500 mm From the ground.

The LED indicators facilitate alignment during assembly:

  • Without signal: The indicators remain off.
  • Low sign: The red LED lights up.
  • Average signal: The red and orange LEDs light up.
  • High signal: The red, orange and green LEDs light up.

Installation recommendations

It should be avoided to target the photocell towards an intense source of sunlight or towards surfaces that directly reflect the light within the visual field of the sensor, since unstable operating conditions may occur.

The presence of Ice, snow, fog, smoke or dirt On the photocell or the mirror can also reduce the intensity of the signal. It is recommended to keep both elements clean and correctly aligned.
